This course introduces you to the basic skills needed to ensure effective communication.
Materials science engineers explore materials' scientific fundamentals, design, and processing for real-world applications. They apply the basic principles of chemistry and physics to understand the structure and properties of materials. They design processes to manipulate materials to meet the needs of modern technology.
This course would afford the students an opportunity to learn the basic electronics and know something about semiconductors and their application in the modern engineering field.
The course intends to provide a solid foundation into the physics and design of semiconducting materials, fundamentals of optoelectronic and high-speed devices. These are to equip students to understand modern solid-state electronic devices, the principles of operation, fabrication, and applications.
The course content covers: atomic structure, semiconductor physics, semiconductor materials, semiconductor devices, including pn junction diode, Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJT), Field Effect Transistors (FET), thyristors, and optoelectronic devices like photocells (solar cells), photodetector, and semiconductor lasers. Some applications covered in this course are rectification, amplification, etc.
THIS COURSE DISCUSSES THE MINERALS AND MINING ACT 706 AND REGULATIONS L.I. 2182
The Communication Skills II aims at furnishing students with how to use the English Language efficiently as a communicators. It builds on what was started in semester I and will focus on how to construct excellent paragraphs, craftily woven together into good essays using appropriate transitional markers, and registers. Documentation will also be explored to toughen students up as young academics so to function efficiently in their field of research.
